Kara Air Studio ("we," "our," or "us") develops the KaraHVAC mobile application ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App and this website collect, how it's used, and the choices you have. We built KaraHVAC to work fully offline for its core engineering calculations, and we've kept data collection to the minimum needed to operate and maintain the App.
The App does not require you to create an account, and does not collect your name, email address, phone number, or location.
The App collects the following limited technical information automatically:
Your calculations, saved projects, climate data selections, and app preferences are stored locally on your device only, using local on-device storage. We do not have access to this data, and it is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. Uninstalling the App removes this data from your device.
Like most websites and app backends, our server automatically logs standard technical information for requests it receives (such as timestamp and request type) for security, debugging, and basic usage-volume purposes. Our mobile application generates a random anonymous identifier (UUID) stored on your device to track usage frequency — this identifier is not linked to any personal identity. We do not cross-reference these logs with any personal identity, and we do not use them for advertising or profiling. If you would like to request deletion of your data, please contact support@karahvac.app.
The App does not currently integrate third-party advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or social login providers. If this changes in a future update, we will update this policy accordingly before the change takes effect.
We do not sell, rent, or trade any information collected through the App or this website to third parties.
The App is intended for HVAC engineering professionals, students, and enthusiasts, and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Since the App doesn't require an account and stores your project data locally, you're in control of your own data at all times — you can delete it by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App. If you have questions about the limited technical data described above, contact us using the details below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or applicable requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
